{"id":66,"date":"2018-01-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/garmerprather.lawblogger.net\/blog\/coal-mining-deaths-up-in-the-us\/"},"modified":"2019-04-29T12:35:10","modified_gmt":"2019-04-29T16:35:10","slug":"coal-mining-deaths-up-in-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.garmerprather.com\/blog\/coal-mining-deaths-up-in-the-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Coal mining deaths up in the U.S."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While advancing technology and shrinking demand means fewer and fewer people are working in coal mines, a recent report shows that coal mine deaths nearly doubled last year.<\/p>\n<p>With fewer regulators on the job, often the only incentive that mine operators have to protect their employees is the knowledge that somewhere out there, a trial lawyer will stand up for a miner&#8217;s rights, when management neglected the miner.<\/p>\n<p>We have successfully represented a number of miners over the years who have been hurt in both surface mines and underground mines.
